Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment is the process through which high school students take courses from a Technical College while still enrolled as a high school student and receive credit BOTH at the high school and Lanier Technical College.
Benefits of Dual Enrollment
Ninety percent of your tuition books can be paid for through the HOPE GRANT.
With Dual Enrollment, you can earn technical college credits BEFORE you even graduate high school.
With Dual Enrollment, you can earn high school credit AND technical college credit while taking a college level course.
With Dual Enrollment, you have the opportunity to fulfill your career pathway for high school AND earn a Technical Certificate of Credit.
In ADDITION, you may even earn articulated technical college credit for some of your high school courses.
It is a GREAT way to set you apart from other high school student.
Steps to enroll in Dual Enrollment
Discuss with your parents and counselors your education plans
Take College Entrance Exam (Compass)
Complete Lanier Technical College Application and pay $15.00 application fee
Sign up for Dual Enrollment Courses on High School Registration Form
Complete HOPE GRANT Application online
Attend College Classes while in High School (Junior and or Senior year)
Graduate from High School with several College courses completed
It is more expensive not to get an education than it is to get an education
