 Math Tutor - Part Time
  Qualifications
Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs, including Microsoft Office; effective oral and written communication skills; effective interpersonal relations skills and in dealing with the public; and effective decision-making and problem solving skills.

PREFER: Experience working with students; effective interpersonal skills that promote a positive learning environment; and/or an educational philosophy that believes all students can succeed.


  Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education.

  Responsibilities
Tutors students in math and math study skills; monitor and reinforces the progress of the students being tutored; conducts learning style inventories and discusses results with students; assigns manageable tasks and provides positive feedback; discusses student's progress with appropriate faculty and staff; carefully listens to students and offers encouragement and support; maintains a positive, warm attitude that encourages each student to learn; provides oral and written reports as required; performs basic administrative duties to support the daily operations of the tutoring program; and supports math faculty in classrooms as needed.

$22.00 per hour; up to 19.5 hours per week.
