The Annual Lanier Tech Wellness Fair will be held on Tuesday, March 20th, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center of Bldg. 300 at the Oakwood Campus. Free health screenings will be available and a large variety of health, safety, and wellness organizations and businesses will provide exhibits and information. This FREE event is open to staff, faculty,students, and the community. Dr. Delores Barnes will speak on "Study Skills Success" on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 10:00 to 10:55 a.m. in the Lecture Hall of Bldg. 300 at the Oakwood Campus. This free program is open to all students, faculty, and staff.
Dr. Barnes has many years of experience speaking on this topic and has written books on study skills and on test taking skills. She offers information on ways to organize notes and techniques that really work.

The Student Government Association's Annual Canned Food & Toy Drive is October 31st through November 30th.

All Programs at the Oakwood Campus are asked and encouraged to collect non-perishable foods and toys/books that will be donated to the Chattahoochie Baptist Association on McEver Road in time for the Holiday Season.

The Program & Office with the most collected items will both win a pizza party sponsored by the Student Government Association and get their picture take for the local paper!

The Lanier Technical College Drug-free Campus Committee is pleased to announce that Adrienne Baker, Chief Medical Officer for the State, will speak at the Oakwood Campus about the proliferation of pain clinics, pill mills and the abuse of prescription drugs.Ms. Baker is well known as one of the best and most highly sought  after speakers on the topic of illegal drug use. This free program will be held on Tuesday, October 4th from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. in the Lecture Hall of Bldg. 300, Oakwood Campus.
