If you have an interest in plants, enjoy working outdoors, and like to interact with people, consider a career in the Environmental Horticulture industry. Professionals in this industry are responsible for the production, utilization, and maintenance of trees, flowers, shrubs, and turf grasses that are used to enhance our environment. Graduates of the program understand how plants grow and how to propagate them as well as which plants are best adapted to a specific environment and how to maintain these plants.

Many exciting opportunities exist for qualified individuals in Georgia's 8.12 billion dollar horticultural industry.  Job opportunities exist as landscape managers, golf course superintendents, garden designers, greenhouse growers, nursery managers, garden center managers and floral designers.  You also have the opportunity to start and own your own business.

The Environmental Horticulture program specializes in meeting the training needs of landscapers, lawn care companies, garden centers, nurseries and florists.
