        and turning centers
•      CAM programming of CNC machining
        and turning centers

The Machine Tool Technology diploma program provides learning opportunities to develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement.  The program places emphasis on a combination of machine tool theory and practical application necessary for successful employment.  This program of study is recommended for students that have little or no prior experience in the machine tool field.

The Basic Machining certificate program allows students to enroll in a machine tool program of study without having to take the admission test or any of the general core courses.  This course of study is available to those desiring to take only the basic machine tool courses in order to gain employment as a machine operator or possibly transfer into the CNC Specialist certificate.

The CNC (computer numerical control) Specialist certificate program provides training in the programming, set-up, and operation of CNC machining and turning centers.  Student will learn both manual and computer aided machining (CAM) programming.  This program of study is considered an advanced level of the machine tool curriculum and is designed for persons experienced in the machining field, either through work experience or educational experience.

The Advanced General Machinist certificate offers additional experience in machining operations.  Precision grinding is an integral part of this curriculum which places emphasis on the machining of tooling components to very close tolerances.  This program of study is considered an advanced level of the machine tool curriculum and is designed for persons experienced in the machining field, either through work experience or educational experience.
