The Electrical Technician program prepares students for employment in a variety of industries using basic electrical skills. It provides basic knowledge and skills in the occupational areas of safety, direct current circuits, alternating current circuits, wiring, print reading, and problem solving that can be applied to various electrical and industrial installations. The program can provide the foundation and accrue credits for further education and training in solar energy studies leading to a diploma or associate's degree (which are in development using ARC grant funds.) Graduates of the program will receive an Electrical Technician technical certificate of credit. This program is offered by the Industrial Systems Technology (IST) department.
