Students
who earn a GED will receive a $500 voucher that may be submitted to
a HOPEeligible postsecondary Georgia institution at the time of the
student's enrollment. The student must meet the HOPE defined citizenship
requirements and Selective Service requirements. Effective July 2009,
the student is not required to meet the Georgia residency requirements
in order to receive payment from the HOPE GED Grant program. These
funds will be disbursed to the student after the drop period for the
quarter.
