| The
Coordinator of Disability Services works to meet the particular needs
of students with disabilities including the physically challenged
and the learning challenged. The coordinator collaborates with faculty
and staff to help them meet the needs of this student population both
in and out of the classroom. Appropriate documentation of disability
must be provided.
The Coordinator
of Disability Services provides counseling and refers students to
appropriate community agencies such as the Department of Family
and Children Services, Health Department, Mental Health Services,
Vocational Rehabilitation, Gateway House, and other community services.
Students may also be referred to the free Tutoring Lab for academic
assistance.
