Management and Supervisory Development Degree
The Management and Supervisory Development program prepares experienced workers for entry into management or supervisory occupations in a variety of businesses and industries. The Management and Supervisory Development Associate degree program provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Program graduates who are experienced workers are prepared to perform management and supervisory functions such as employee training, labor relations, employee evaluation, and employee counseling and disciplinary action. Each course within all of Lanier Technical College's diploma/certificate level programs is acceptable for full credit toward the general elective hours for this associate degree. Graduates of the program receive a Management and Supervisory Development Associate of Applied Science degree with a specialization in Human Resource Management, Mining Management or Service Sector Management. This program is offered by the Management and Supervisory Development (MSD) department.

Availibility
Students are accepted every quarter based on course and space availability. This program offers day, evening and online classes at the Oakwood and Forsyth Campuses.
Requirements
  • Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.

  • High school diploma or GED is required prior to admission.
    Official transcripts or GED scores must be submitted from all colleges and/or high schools attended for credit.

  • Take the ASSET placement test or submit SAT, ACT, CPE or COMPASS test scores.
    All tests must have been taken within five (5) years of application for admission.

    Advanced Leadership and Management Certificate
    The Advanced Leadership and Management certificate of credit program provides training in the operation and management of business. The program develops professional expertise in leading and managing employees and familiarizes students with the challenges and responsibilities of leadership. Program graduates receive an Advanced Leadership and Management certificate of credit. This program is offered by the Management and Supervisory Development (MSD) department.

    Supervisor/Manager Specialist Certificate
    This certificate serves as an introduction to the basics of supervision and/or management. Program graduates will receive a Supervisor/Manager Specialist certificate of credit. This program is offered by the Management and Supervisory Development (MSD) department.
