Environmental Horticulture Degree
The Environmental Horticulture program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in environmental horticulture. The program provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and technical knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to retrain or upgrade present knowledge and skills. Graduates of the program receive an Environmental Horticulture Associate of Applied Science degree which qualifies them as a horticulturist. This program is offered by the Environmental Horticulture (EHO) department.

Availibility
Students are accepted every quarter based on course and space availability. This program offers day and evening classes at the Forsyth Campus.
Requirements
  • Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.

  • High school diploma or GED is required prior to admission.
    Official transcripts or GED scores must be submitted from all colleges and/or high schools attended for credit.

  • Take the ASSET placement test or submit SAT, ACT, CPE or COMPASS test scores.
    All tests must have been taken within five (5) years of application for admission.

Program graduates receive an Environmental Horticulture Technician certificate of credit. This program is offered by the Environmental Horticulture (EHO) department.

    Students are accepted every quarter based on course and space availability. This program offers day classes at the Forsyth Campus.
    Requirements
  • Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.

    The Floral Designer technical certificate of credit provides entry-level skills in floral design and interiorscaping.     Garden Center Technician Certificate
    The Garden Center Technician certificate of credit prepares the student to perform tasks associated with maintenance of garden center plants and products, as well as customer relations, sales and service. These tasks include writing sales tickets, receipts and invoices; helping customers select appropriate plants and products for their gardening needs; watering, grooming, pruning and scouting plant materials; and preparing displays and in-store advertising. Program graduates will receive a Garden Center Technician certificate of credit. This program is offered by the Environmental Horticulture (EHO) department.
