prior to admission.

Take the ASSET placement test or submit
SAT, ACT, CPE or COMPASS test scores.

taken within five (5) years of application
for admission.

The Basic Machining Operator certificate prepares students for entry level machine shop employment by providing the knowledge and skills in basic machining operations. Instruction is provided in blueprint reading, lathe, mill, and surface grinder operations, mathematical functions, and an introduction to the machine tool industry. Program graduates will receive a Basic Machining Operator certificate of credit.
