CNC Technology Diploma
The CNC Technology program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in the CNC technology field. Learning opportunities develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of CNC theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive a CNC Technology diploma and have the qualifications of a CNC technician. This program is offered by the Machine Tool Technology (MTT) department.

Availibility
Students are accepted every quarter based on course and space availability. This program offers day and evening classes at the Oakwood Campus.
Requirements
  • Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.

  • High school diploma or GED is required prior to admission.
    Official transcripts or GED scores must be submitted from all colleges and/or high schools attended for credit.

  • Take the ASSET placement test or submit SAT, ACT, CPE or COMPASS test scores.
    All tests must have been taken within five (5) years of application for admission.

    Advanced General Machinist Certificate
    The Advanced General Machinist certificate of credit program provides training for graduates to gain employment as machine tool technicians. Graduates receive an Advanced General Machinest certificate of credit. This program is offered by the Machine Tool Technology (MTT) department.

    Basic Machining Operator Certificate
    The Basic Machining Operator certificate prepares students for entry level machine shop employment by providing the knowledge and skills in basic machining operations. Instruction is provided in blueprint reading, lathe, mill, and surface grinder operations, mathematical functions, and an introduction to the machine tool industry. Program graduates will receive a Basic Machining Operator certificate of credit. This program is offered by the Machine Tool Technology (MTT) department.
