Printing and Graphics Technology Degree
The Printing/Graphics Technology program prepares students for employment in a variety of positions in today's modern printing industry. The Printing/Graphics Technology program provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for getting a job, keeping it, and being promoted. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to upgrade present knowledge and skills or to retrain in the area of Printing/Graphics Technology. Graduates of the program receive a Printing/Graphics Technology Associate of Applied Science degree with a specialization in one of the following areas: Printing Technology Specialization; Prepress Technology Specialization; Small Press Operations; or Large Press Multi-Color Operations. This program is offered by the Printing and Graphics Technology (PGT) department.

Availibility
Students are accepted every quarter based on course and space availability. This program offers day and evening classes at the Forsyth Campus.
Requirements
  • Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.

  • High school diploma or GED is required prior to admission.
    Official transcripts or GED scores must be submitted from all colleges and/or high schools attended for credit.

  • Take the ASSET placement test or submit SAT, ACT, CPE or COMPASS test scores.
    All tests must have been taken within five (5) years of application for admission.

    Desktop Publishing Technician Certificate

    Graphic Arts Fundamentals Certificate
    The Graphic Arts Fundamentals certificate of credit program is designed to provide educational opportunities to individuals that will enable them to obtain the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to succeed in an entry-level position as a graphic artist technician or other support positions. Program graduates receive a Graphic Arts Fundamentals certificate of credit. This program is offered by the Printing and Graphics Technology (PGT) department.
