The Technical Studies program is designed to provide skills for graduates to work with both private and public agencies in various technical fields. It is for students who have completed the required courses for a diploma in the technical area of Air Conditioning Technology, Applied Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing Technology, Automotive Collision Repair, Computer Information Systems, Drafting, Electronics Technology, Electrical Utlity Technology, Industrial Systems Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Motorsports Vehicle Technology, Printing and Graphics Technology, Welding and Joining Technology or any technical program to be offered by Lanier Technical College in the future. Graduates receive a Technical Studies Associate of Applied Science Degree. This program is offered by the
Technical Studies (TS) department.
Availibility
Students are accepted every quarter based on course and space availability. This program offers day, evening and online classes at the Oakwood Campus.

Requirements
Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.
High school diploma or GED is required
prior to admission.
Official transcripts or
GED scores must be submitted from all colleges
and/or high schools attended for credit.
Take the ASSET placement test or submit
SAT, ACT, CPE or COMPASS test scores.
All tests must have been
taken within five (5) years of application
for admission.
Additional Requirements
Documentation of a diploma in an industrial or technical area from a Georgia technical college or a diploma in an industrial or technical area that is equivalent to a diploma from a Georgia technical college.
