Application
to Lanier Technical College's Manufacturing Development
Center is simple and straightforward:
Complete an application (click
here to download an application or visit MDC's Featherbone
Center to pick up an application).
Submit the completed application together with
a business plan and financials to the MDC's Director.
Once an application is received, candidacy review
will be completed within ten (10) business days. In
the event the application is not successful, the reason
shall be disclosed together with assistance and information
for reconsideration.
Applications shall be reviewed and evaluated on
the following basis:
- soundness
of the business model
- likelihood
that required capital funding will be realized
- prospect
of survival beyond the MDC's program
- manufacturing-based
businesses are at definite advantage
- the
likelihood that MDC's investment in building the business
shall be lost through the export of the company outside
of Georgia
Once
the application review is complete, the MDC's Applicant
Advisory Committee shall review and final decision
concluded without undue delay.
For
successful applicants, a lease agreement shall be executed
and the business started of building business!
