Certificate Programs
Economic Development offers three credit programs. People
successfully completing these programs earn fifteen
(15) hours of technical college credit and are awarded
a certificate of completion. Credits earned can be applied
as elective credit toward a diploma or associate degree
at a technical college. These certificate programs are
HOPE Grant eligible for people who qualify. For HOPE

The three certificate programs are:
- Certified Customer Service Specialist,
- Certified Manufacturing Specialist, and the
- Certified Warehouse and Distribution Specialist.
These programs are scheduled through economic development.

Industry specific, or customized training,
delivers the needed training when, where, and how it
is wanted. Customized training varies from modification
of an existing class to needs analysis and course development.
Customized training is offered to existing industries
upon request. This service includes such activities
as training consultation, training analysis, course
development and course implementation. The training
can take place in company facilities, Lanier Tech's
Economic Development Center or other sites deemed appropriate
for the training required. The costs of the courses
vary according to the complexity of the training.
Customized training is available in the areas of supervisory
and management development, human resources, security
training, industrial safety, customer service, and technical

This assessment involves written and hands-on
evaluations in mechanical and electrical skills. Over
80 assessed skill areas provide an individual analysis
and skill summary. A training prescription is written

offers the Sales Pre-Licensing Real Estate course (code
40857) and the three-hour Professional Ethics course
(code 40858) at our Forsyth County Campus in Cumming,
