Lanier Technical College is focusing on offering Continuing Education classes in our eight county service area. Our computer workshops will continue to be available for Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) at our Forsyth and Oakwood campuses and start expanding to additional campuses this year. We now are offering new classes at our campuses that are in many different areas of interest. We have grouped these classes into three areas:
Personal Development – these classes encourage life-long learning in many different areas of interest. Some examples are Beginning Photoshop & Illustrator, The Basics of Selling on eBay, Digital Photography, Internet Safety, Introduction to Computers and Conversational Spanish.
Workforce Development – this area includes classes that are pertinent to the changing needs of the businesses in our service area. We want to help these businesses maintain a highly skilled and technically trained workforce. We are surveying the needs of businesses and have started classes like Project Management, Making Meetings Work, Hiring for the 21st Century, Customer Service, Web Design, Spanish for Medical Professionals, and American Heart Healthcare Provider classes.
Student Development – the classes we offer help encourage middle and high school students to try new areas of interest and help prepare them for choices after high school. We offer SAT Preparation, Video Game Design, Electronics, Robotics, and 3-D Game Design.
We are in the process of setting up new classes and schedules so please check out the Continuing Education link on our website at
