The Industrial Systems Technology department teaches afternoon and evening classes in a variety of programs at the Jackson and Oakwood Campuses:

- AAS degree in Industrial Systems Technology
- Diplomas in Electrical Control Systems, Industrial Mechanical Systems, and Industrial Systems Technology
- Certificates in Industrial Mechanical Technician and Industrial Motor Control Technician

The programs provide didactic instruction in safety and theory and hands-on instruction through work in a laboratory setting.  Students have the option of taking courses of interest or courses required for their jobs through electives in some of the programs.

The Industrial Systems Technology department provides coursework in the following areas:

- Industrial Computer Applications
- Industrial Mechanics
- Industrial Wiring
- AC and DC Electricity
- DC and AC Motors
- Mechanical Laws and Principles
- Motor Controls
- Magnetic Starters and Braking
- Two-Wire Control Circuits
- Direct Circuits
- PLCs
- Industrial Instrumentation
- Industrial Fluid Power
- Pumps and Piping
- Industrial Safety Procedures
- Solid State Devices
- Print Reading and Problem Solving
- Pneumatics
- Maintenance for Reliability

Program graduates are prepared for jobs in a variety of industrial and/or manufacturing facilities as well as hospitals and government complexes: maintenance technician, maintenance manager, industrial mechanic, industrial maintenance electrician, industrial control technician, and many other positions.  For more information or to apply for admission to an Industrial Systems Technology program, contact the Admissions Office at (770) 531-6300.
