A
few words about the Graduation Facility, Free Chapel:
Free Chapel is a state-of-art-facility; their desire
is to share the facility with the community. Free Chapel
is a smoke-free environment, both indoors and outdoors.
Please be aware of this and share this information with
your guests. The smoke-free environment policy will
be enforced.
Who
is eligible to participate?
Associate of Applied Science Degree, Diploma, and Technical
Certificate of Credit students who complete their programs
during Summer 2009, Fall 2009, Winter 2010, or Spring
2010 are eligible to participate.
How
do I know if I am eligible to participate?
An Application for Graduation must be completed by each
potential graduate. For timing purposes, we have “deadlines”
that are set for Thursday of Returning Student Registration
week, each quarter (see school calendar). Students should
apply for Graduation when they register for their anticipated
last quarter. This allows the Registrar’s office
time to process the request and notify the student of
the results via email.
Is
there a deadline to apply for Graduation?
If you wish to participate in the 2010 Graduation Ceremony,
your Application for Graduation must be received by
the Registrar's Office no later than Thursday,
April 22, 2010.
What
does the $25 Graduation Fee cover?
The Graduation Fee helps cover the cost of the student
Cap, Gown, and Tassel, as well as rental fees for the
facility. The actual cost incurred exceeds $25. Additional
funding for the Graduation Ceremony is provided by the
Student Government Association and the Student Activity
Fees you paid each quarter.
When
is the $25 Graduation Fee due?
The Graduation Fee is due no later than Thursday,
April 22, 2010. This will ensure your cap and
gown order may be placed and received in time for the
Ceremony.
Do
I need to attend Rehearsal?
While Rehearsal is not required, it is certainly recommended!
The Rehearsal is an informal walk through of the ceremony.
This will assist us with lining students up for the
graduation march in to the auditorium, a practice walk
across the stage, an opportunity to be sure you know
where the facility is and to become familiar with the
facility. It’s also a chance to see former classmates,
make new acquaintances, and celebrate your accomplishment
with your peers.

type of notification will graduates receive?

and indicated they wish to participate in the ceremony
on their graduation application, will receive a packet
of information in the mail along with their credential.
A reminder post card (final mailing) is scheduled for
mailing in mid-July, 2010. This post card will include
the schedule and locations for Cap and Gown pick-up
and last minute reminders.
Do
you need special accommodations or assistance to participate
in the ceremony? Do you have a guest who may need special
