 Adult Education English As A Second Language (ESL) Aide
  Qualifications

Lanier Technical College is conducting a search for a responsible individual to assist the ESL instructor by handling phone calls and teaching ESL students under supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Meet all education requirements
  • Must have excellent human relations skills, and demonstrate effective verbal and written communications skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience teaching at a technical or community college
  • Experience or education of ESL practices/theories/pedagogy
  • Experience teaching in a high school or post/secondary education environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) language skills is a plus


  Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent



  Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Assisting with instruction when asked
  • Answering phones and taking messages
