 Adjunct Radiologic Technology Instructor
  Qualifications

Lanier Technical College is conducting a search for the following part-time, non-benefit eligible, position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of an Associate's degree from an accredited College or University *AND* Two (2) years of paid, in-field work experience
  • JRCERT from an accredited college or university in radiologic technology
  • Radiologic technologist certification by the ARRT

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a closely related field
  • Previous teaching experience, especially at the postsecondary level
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus


  Education Requirements

  • Completion of an Associate's degree from an accredited College or University *AND* Two (2) years of paid, in-field work experience


  Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Reports to and provides a periodic performance appraisal to the program director and/or college instructors
  • Becomes familiar with program goals and understands clinical course materials
  • Assists in maintaining student records regarding attendance and competency testing respecting confidentiality and established policy
  • Conducts regular image critiques and evaluates procedure techniques with students
  • Maintains up-to-date communications with all clinical instructors in all affiliates regarding student schedules, student progress, and student competencies
  • Enforces, and communicates to site clinical instructors to enforce program policies
  • Visits all affiliates on a scheduled basis (each site must be visited at least once a week)
  • Serves as a major public relations officer to the clinical affiliates on behalf of the program
  • Evaluates students for competency and ensures consistent competency evaluations from all affiliates
  • Manages administrative responsibilities related to scheduling, developing syllabi and teaching courses
  • Other duties as assigned by Dean
