Dual Enrollment Admissions Testing Requirements

Applicants must meet minimum admission test score requirements to participate in the Dual Enrollment program. Lanier Tech administers the ACCUPLACER® exam for admissions placement. Information about the ACCUPLACER® exam is available at: https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org/.

Lanier Tech also accepts SAT and ACT test scores that meet the minimum admission score requirements. Please see the minimum score requirements below.
  • If you have taken the SAT, then go to www.collegeboard.org, log into your account, and request a copy of your official test scores be sent to the Admissions Office at Lanier Technical College. Our SAT school code is 7289.
  • If you have taken the ACT, then go to www.actstudent.org, log into your account, and request a copy of your official test scores be sent to the Admissions Office at Lanier Technical College. Our ACT school code is 7096.
  • If you have NOT taken the ACT or SAT, or if your scores do not meet the minimum test score requirements as listed in the chart below, then you will be required to take our college ACCUPLACER® exam.

ACCUPLACER® Placement Test Scores
*Some diploma and certificate programs require a diploma-level algebra course. The Technical Specialist Certificate requires degree-level coursework and degree-level test scores.
  • There is no charge for the ACCUPLACER® placement test for students wishing to pursue Dual Enrollment.
  • Applicants for admission to Dual Enrollment programs who do not score at the program admission level on one or more sections of the ACCUPLACER® exam may retest one time only. The retest will only be for the section or sections that were below the minimum score requirements. There must be a period of 14 days between the test and retest.
  • Students must present their photo ID at the time of the test.
  • The Technical Specialist Certificate program requires degree-level coursework and degree-level test scores.
  • Some diploma and certificate programs require a diploma-level algebra course.
