Es ist eine Deutsche fest! It's a German feast!
Over 150 people celebrated an amazing German Feast--authentic German dishes from the Gasthaus Resturant of Cumming, and heard traditional German music preformed live by the Bavarian Duo of Dave and Annette Wagner--to help raise money our inaugural 2017 Lanier Tech Study Abroad Trip to Germany. All of the funds raised be used to help pay for the students’ trip.
Jagerschnitzel, knockwurst, bratwurst and sauerkraut; yum, let’s eat!
Representatives from IMS GEAR, a 150-year old German manufacturing company with facilities in Gainesville, joined in the festivities. IMS Gear is one of the companies that LTC students will visit during their trip to Germany. La Estrella Bakery, Growing Faith Ministries, and the Tetzlaff Family, and the Heather Wayne Dance Company made the event multi-cultural! The dance company performed twice to the delight of the audience.
The German Feast including silent auction raised almost $3,000! A great fundraiser with great fun, great food, and great music!
The individual cost for the study abroad trip to Germany is about $3,100. The Study Abroad committee has a goal of raising $20,000 by the end of February 2017 for the students’ trip.
