4.3.2p7 Children in the Workplace

Children, ages 15 and under, are not allowed on campus unless accompanied by an adult. Employees are not allowed to bring children during working hours, regardless of hours worked. Casual visits of short duration are permitted in the work area provided children are accompanied by an adult, and the visit is outside the shop and lab areas. Children should not be left unattended anywhere on Lanier Technical College's campus, including in personal vehicles in the parking areas. Children who are not clients are not allowed in the Cosmetology Department or Dental Hygiene Department at any time. Prospective customers seeking appointments for services will be advised that services will be refused if accompanied by children, and that children will not be left unattended in the areas listed above.
