5.1.9lp2 New Program Submission

  1. All programs must be entered into KMS. Log into the KMS Web site using your login password. If you do not have login rights to KMS, submit the information to the appropriate campus dean who will enter the data for you.
  2. Under Application Support, click on Program Management.
  3. Click on Go at the Program Management Application tab.
  4. Complete data for each tab. Note that you can complete a tab, save the data, and exit the form. Then you can return at a later time, open the form by clicking on Online Form next to the program name, and continue where you left off. Check the bottom of each page of the form. If there is a button to save data, you must click on it before you exit to the next tab or the data will be lost. Beside the save button, Data Saved will show in green.
  5. You may have to enter an anticipated Local Board approval date in order to save the form. Estimate when you expect local board approval of the program.
  6. Under the Program Data tab, complete the form except for the PAS Program Group and CIP Code information (for existing programs only). Save the form. Then you will be able to click on the PAS Program Group and CIP Code button and have the data imported. Then you must save the form again.
  7. Once you have entered all the data, return to the NPR Home Page. In the Item Status section, click on Printable Form beside the program name. Once the program comes up on your screen, hit the ALT key on your keyboard. Under File, click on Save As. Save the document to your desktop. Then you can check it for spelling and content errors, print it, or send it as an attachment electronically. To make spelling or content corrections, you must return to the KMS form.
