3.3.11p1 Severe Weather and Emergency Closing Procedure

If weather conditions are sufficiently severe to warrant closing the College, employees directly affected by the weather conditions will be excused from duty without loss of pay or use of leave.

If Lanier Technical College closes for day classes, it is also closed for evening classes. All college locations (campuses and Adult Education centers) will close except in some cases the Economic Development Department and/or Ammonia Refrigerant program may hold classes.

When the President decides to close Lanier Technical College, the Director of Marketing and Public Relations (DMPR) will perform the following actions:

If the DMPR is not available, the Vice President of Student Affairs will notify the media and those listed above.
