Request Accommodations

It is the policy of Lanier Technical College to provide reasonable accommodations that assist people with disabilities as they participate in programs and activities at the college. Reasonable accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis according to each student’s individual medical documentation. Accommodations will be made to the extent that these accommodations do not sacrifice or compromise the integrity of an educational program, lower the academic standards, or produce undue administrative burdens.

Steps to obtain special classroom accommodations:

  1. Disability Registration: Fill out the Request Accommodations forms.
  2. Documentation: Submit Documentation. If you do not have current documentation, please submit the documentation that you currently have and we will discuss the next steps.
  3. Meeting: Schedule an appointment to meet with Accessibility Services by emailing adacoordinator@laniertech.edu
  4. Follow up: Once accommodations are approved, the student must send Accessibility Services their class schedule each semester to request accommodations, follow up with instructors after accommodations are emailed, and reach out with any questions/concerns throughout the semester.

Telephone numbers are accessible to persons who are deaf or hard of hearing through the Georgia Relay by dialing 711 or 1-800-255-0056 from a TTY/TDD.
