Graduation Requirements:
To be eligible to graduate with a degree, diploma or certificate from Lanier Technical College, a student must:
- Must meet the minimum grade point average of 2.0 in the program of study in which you are applying for.
- Lanier Technical College must have your high school transcript or GED. Students with 35 transferrable hours may be exempt.
- Must complete at least 25% of their program at Lanier Tech.
- Verify your student information through LTC Experience (formerly Banner Web)
- LTC Experience (formerly Banner Web) > Student Record > My Profile
- Update your contact information here: Change of Address Form
- Complete the application for credential form below.
Graduation signifies the completion of your program; however, you must apply for your credentials in order to receive them.
A student’s academic record will be evaluated by the Graduation Specialist for any and all credentials earned to determine if graduation requirements have been met.
Graduation Credential
A credential is an official document awarded by Lanier Technical College that certifies that a person has successfully completed a program.
How do I get my credential?
At the end of each semester following grade roll, all applications are reviewed and students that meet all requirements are awarded their degrees, diplomas and/or certificates. When all awards are processed, they are uploaded into Parchment Services for sending.
Diploma mail out:
- Degrees - Students enrolled in an Associate Degree will receive a printed copy via mail and a digital diploma from Parchment.
- Diplomas - Students enrolled in a Diploma program will receive a printed copy via mail and a digital diploma from Parchment.
- Certificates - Students enrolled in a Certificate program will receive a printed copy via mail and a digital diploma from Parchment.
Embedded Diploma:
A set of courses within an associate's degree that also qualifies the student for additional credentials.
- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate programs that you are not currently enrolled in but you are completing while finishing up your program will receive a digital diploma from Parchment.
- Can be purchased through Parchment for $25.
Please allow approximately 4-6 weeks for the processing and sending of all awards. Digital diplomas will be sent first with the mailed diploma following a few weeks after.
If your name, phone number, or address has changed since the start of your time at Lanier Tech, please complete the Change of Address Form and return it to registrar@laniertech.edu before submitting.
Apply for CredentialCommencement Ceremony
Commencement is our formal walking ceremony, held annually in May (Summer, Fall, & Spring graduates)
Registration Open: November 10, 2025, to March 2, 2026.
Registration is required for those who wish to participate in the commencement ceremony. However, participation in the ceremony is not required in order to receive your academic credential.
There is a mandatory, non-refundable, non-transferable $40 fee associated with registration, which must be paid in order for participation to be considered.

Before registering for the Commencement Ceremony, students must submit the Application for Credential. Please note that submitting the Application for Credential does not register a student to participate in the ceremony.
How do I get a replacement copy of my credential/diploma?
Replacement diplomas are only for students that have already received their initial digital or mailed copy of their award. Students are able to log into Parchment and request a replacement diploma. The cost of each replacement is $25.
