Job Description:
Lanier Technical College is accepting applications for a Federal Work Study student as a Design and Media Production Technology (DMPT) Lab Assistant on the Forsyth Campus. The responsibility of this position is to help the photography instructors with duties such as the management and organization of DMPT’s photography equipment and assisting with demonstrations of photography techniques.
This job begins Spring Semester 2026.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file for the 2025-26 aid year.
- Must be registered for the current term and must meet SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) standards.
- Applicants should be neat in appearance and possess the ability to work well with others.
- Applicants must have good interpersonal skills for phone calls, emails, and in person communication.
- Applicants must be dependable, punctual, strong work ethic, and be able to work assigned schedule.
- As with all LTC employees, a background investigation is required which may include, but is not limited to, a review and/or verification of criminal history records, motor/vehicle driver’s history records, employment history, references, etc.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Must be able to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00pm – 6:50pm, except holidays.
- Must have demonstratable competence in photography with a smartphone, demonstrable by sharing 10-15 personally created photos.
- Must be pursuing a Degree, Diploma, or Technical Certificate of Credit in Digital Media Production Technology.
- Interview in-person or virtually required.
Salary:
20 hours per week at $15.00 per hour.
