Lanier Technical College’s Continuing Education AHA offerings provide training classes to meet a wide variety of required certifications. The training center is responsible for the administration and quality assurance of Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) courses.
As the local American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center, Lanier Technical College offers the following courses and services:
- BLS Provider
- For healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings.
- Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED
- For anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory, or other requirements.
- BLS Instructor
- Prepares instructors to teach Basic Life Support Provider classes as well as Heartsaver classes. Course fee includes both the BLS Instructor Manual and the Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Manual. Curriculum from the AHA Instructor Essentials Online courses for both BLS Instructor and Heartsaver Instructor is included. Course fee also covers the BLS Instructor card fee upon completion of all certification requirements.

Instructor Renewals
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2024: ALL INSTRUCTOR ECARDS WILL BE $13.
Transferring Instructors:
Transfer Requests FROM another Training Center: Email your full name and current instructor ID # to aha@laniertech.edu. Your request will be reviewed and the Instructor Records Transfer Request form will be sent to you to send to your current Training Center.Transfer Requests TO another Training Center: Contact the new Training Center to initiate your transfer process. Forward the completed Instructor Records Transfer Request form to aha@laniertech.edu for processing.

Cancellation Policy: To cancel a course, please email ce@laniertech.edu. All cancellations must be in writing via email. NO EXCEPTIONS. You may cancel or reschedule up to three business days prior to the course start date. All cancellations, transfers, and student substitutions will be charged a $20 processing fee. All cancellations received less than three business days in advance will NOT be refunded.
Low Enrollment Policy: If low enrollment requires that classes be rescheduled, you will be contacted and will receive a full refund or will be rescheduled at no additional charge.
